I wonder why it couldn't loop,just a few wig overs? Is it because the engine hasn't got the power to pull such a large model through the manoeuvre? Nonetheless, it is a superb model - IMHO, one of the best I've ever seen. 👍

Раньше в СССР были клубы юных теников. При профкоме каждого предприятия существовали такие клубы. Там дети бесплатно внеурочное время занимались различным моделированием и прочими рукоделиями. Я ходил в один из таких клубов, там были кружки судомодельный, радиолюбительский, для младших разные поделки из дерева и других материалов, а так же кружок связи, где ребята учились азбуке Морзе и прочим средствам и способам связи. Там даже была самая настоящая радиостанция которая могла принимать сигналы из других стран. Регулярно проходили соревнования в разных дисциплинах между клубами. Сперва городские, победители ехали на республиканские, а дальше всесоюзные. Всё оплачивало государство. Призы были различные, от простой грамоты и памятных подарков, до поездки в "Артек". Я однажды участвовал в республиканских соревнованиях в Ижевске, мне было лет 10-12. Вот точно так же запускали на пруду кораблики с радиоуправлением. Никогда, до конца своих дней, не прощу либералам-демократам то что они разрушили мою страну Советский Союз.

If only eh? The cancellation of this project & what Bell Aircraft did with the data, especially on the all moving tail, makes me incredibly sad & angry in equal amounts. Wouldn't it be a wonderful tribute to Eric Brown & Miles if the first RC model aircraft to push past Mach 1 was an exact scale replica of the Miles M.52? The design is proven in the 1948 rocket powered scale drop tests so maybe carbon fibre construction with a suitable gas turbine with reheat as the original had. If they could do it in '48 I'm sure we could do it now. It's the only 1st left for the M.52 design and I, for one, would happily devote time, transport & any other help I could give on the furtherance of such a project. Any thoughts?

Does the model have a real functioning 8 cyl rotary engine ? Or are those cylinders just for show ?
